Augsburg Lutheran Home
is a non-profit continuing care retirement community providing Independent
Living, Assisted Living, and Long Term Care to seniors. Situated on a 52-acre
campus in the Lochearn area of Baltimore County, Augsburg has been serving
the needs of the elderly for over 100 years. Augsburg is accredited by the
Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, sponsored by the American Association
of Homes and Services for the Aging. Accreditation by the CCAC indicates that
Augsburg has been carefully evaluated and meets standards of excellence agreed
upon by continuing care professionals.
Augsburg Lutheran Home is affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It is guided by a Board of
Directors who are elected by the delegates sent to the Annual Meeting by member
congregations. Membership is open to all Lutheran congregations interested
in fostering the mission of caring for the elderly in a Christian environment.
Augsburg depends upon the support of Lutheran congregations and individuals
to continue its mission.
Augsburg's Adult Day
Care program was taken over by Trinity Adult Medical Day Care in July 2007.
The center is still located at 6200 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland
21239.
