Employment Opportunities

The mission and objective of Augsburg Lutheran Home's Human Resources Department is to attract and retain the best health care workers available. One way this is accomplished is by offering employees the best compensation package that Augsburg Lutheran Home can make available.

The Components of Total Compensation

Wages: Augsburg has a performance merit-pay-based system. Each position is classified in a pay grade which has a minimum and maximum rate of pay. The best performers receive the best increases.

Vacation: 1-5 Years of Service: 10 Days; 6-9 Years of Service: 12 Days; 10 Years of Service: 15 Days.

Sick: Eight (8) paid sick leave days per year.

Holidays: Eight (8) paid holidays per year.

Health Insurance: Augsburg pays 80% of premium cost. Augsburg pays on the average $2,500 per year for each employee.

Dental Insurance: Augsburg pays 50% of premium cost. Augsburg pays on the average $192 per year for each employee.

Life Insurance: The benefit amount is one and one-half (1.5) times annual salary. There is no premium cost to the employee. Augsburg pays the entire cost of this benefit.

Short Term Disability Insurance: The benefit amount is 50% of salary up to six months. There is no premium cost to the employee. Augsburg pays the entire cost of this benefit.

Long Term Disability Insurance: The benefit amount is 60% of salary up to age 62. There is no premium cost to the employee. Augsburg pays the entire cost of this benefit.

Pension Plan (403(b)): Augsburg matches dollar for dollar up to 3.5% of base salary.

Christmas Bonus: Up to $250.
